Air ducts should be cleaned every two or three years for a healthier home.
Most homeowners have no idea what goes on inside their home's air ducts. But the
fact is, they can become littered with years of accumulated dirt, debris and allergens like
pollen, dust and pet dander.
Those who suffer from allergies, asthma or other respiratory ailments, especially children and the elderly, are vulnerable to the effects of indoor air pollution. As a result, most health experts agree on the health benefits of proper, and regular, air duct cleaning.
We'll clean your home from the inside out By having your air ducts cleaned regularly, you’ll not only help improve the indoor air quality in your home, you’ll enhance the efficiency of your heating/cooling system: a newly cleaned air duct system runs more efficiently than a dirty one, resulting in lower utility bills and a cleaner, less dusty home.

Other related services are available for an additional charge, clothes dryer vent cleaning, etc.
Please help us by preparing in the following ways:
Clear all items and breakables away from vents, stairways and furnace areas.
Allow us access to a tub or basin so that we can clean filters and equipment.
If your vents are painted over, there is a chance that some small chipping may occur around screws. If you'd like us to touch up these areas after cleaning, have the appropriate paint available for use.
If you would like us to change your filter while we're cleaning your air duct system, please have an extra filter on hand.
If your house isn't circuit breaker equipped, have some extra fuses on hand - just in case.
Although we try to account for every vent in your system in the original estimate, there might be an additional charge per vent if we happen to miss a hidden one

Just because you can't see it, doesn’t mean it's not there!
Indoor air quality is a major concern in today's homes. Most household dust contains dust mites, mold, mildew, pollen and animal dander. These pollutants circulate through the air, and can inflame breathing problems like allergies and asthma. Solely surface cleaning is ineffective on filthy, clogged air ducts with chunks of dust, bacteria and other debris just waiting to dislodge back into your home or office. Breathe clearly, and improve your indoor air quality today - Call Greenfordce today !
Does it really matter if my Heating and Air Conditioning System is dirty ot not?
Dirt build-up cannot be prevented and must be removed. Dirty inside a-coils filled with pet hair, construction debris and grime will greatly increase energy costs.Dirty or damaged fins on the outdoor condenser could be costing you money too. A dirty, non-maintained, heating and air conditioning system can easily increase electric costs by 20-30% annually and cause early equipment failure. A dirty heating and cooling system will also generate an average of $500 in repair bills over the first 5 years and rapidly escalate as time goes on. This is why
ALL HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING MANUFACTURERS RECOMMEND ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Will I have to wait around all day for you to show up?
No. We schedule with you for a real time like normal people do (not like the cable company). we confirm the time the day before. If we are running late we will call.
Are your air duct cleaning technicians licensed, bonded and insured?
Our air duct cleaning technicians are bonded and insured but not licensed. As of yet, there are no licenses required for air duct cleaning. If at some point air duct cleaning licenses are required, you can be certain our technicians will be licensed.
Will there be any hidden charges?
There are never any hidden charges. We charge by number of vents so if your vent count is right we will give you the final price over the phone. The only exception would be if you wanted the technician to do something additional like clean your chimney or dryer vent.
Do you put tarps down?
Whenever we clean a fireplace we put down tarps to protect your floors from soot. Although our air duct cleaning technicians are very careful we still take the extra step of putting down tarps, just as a precaution. when cleaning air ducts this is generally an unnecessary step, but when asked we will gladly oblige.
Is my house going to get dusty?
No, the vacuum remains inserted in the trunk-line throughout the process so under normal circumstances that is avoided. You should see just the opposite. Most people notice a significant decrease in dust after their air ducts have been cleaned.
Are there any health benefits that come from HVAC system cleaning? >
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems have been shown to act as a collection source for a variety of contaminants that have the potential to affect health, such as mold, fungi, bacteria, and very small particles of dust. The removal of such contaminants from the HVAC system and home should be considered as one component in an overall plan to improve indoor air quality.
Will HVAC system cleaning reduce our home energy bills?
Research by the U.S. EPA has demonstrated that HVAC system cleaning may allow systems to run more efficiently by removing debris from sensitive mechanical components. Clean, efficient systems are less likely to break down, have a longer life span, and generally operate more effectively than dirty systems
How can I be sure the ductwork needs cleaning and why?
If you lack records indicating the last cleaning of the system in question.
· If you have excessive dust, fibers or other contaminants on furniture and horizontal surfaces. Take a look behind the return air grill of your HVAC system. One glimpse into the air ducts provides all the evidence needed to initiate a thorough cleaning.
· Helps reduce energy and maintenance costs while preserving the life of the equipment.
· The American College of Allergists compiled statistics that indicate that 50% of all illnesses are
either caused or aggravated by polluted indoor air.
· The EPA discloses that scientific evidence has indicated that air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities.
What kind of equipment is best for cleaning-truck mounted vacuums or portable vacuums?
NADCA does not endorse one kind of equipment over another. There are two main types of vacuum collection devices: (1) those mounted on trucks and trailers, and (2) portable units. Truck/trailer mounted equipment is generally more powerful than portable equipment. However, portable equipment can often be brought directly into a facility, allowing the vacuum source to be located closer to the ductwork. Both types of equipment will clean to NADCA standards.
All vacuum units should be attached to a collection device for safe containment prior to disposal. Any vacuum collection device which exhausts indoors must be HEPA (high efficiency particulate arrestance) filtered.
A vacuum collection device alone will not get an HVAC system clean. The use of methods and tools designed to agitate debris adhered to the surfaces within the system, in conjunction with the use of the vacuum collection device(s), is required to clean HVAC systems. (For example: brushes, air whips, and “skipper balls.”)
How often should residential HVAC systems be cleaned?
Frequency of cleaning depends on several factors, not the least of which is the preference of the home owner. Some of the things that may lead a home owner to consider more frequent cleaning include:
• Smokers in the household.
•Pets that shed high amounts of hair and dander.
•Water contamination or damage to the home or HVAC system.
•Residents with allergies or asthma who might benefit from a reduction in the amount of indoor air pollutants in the home’s HVAC system.
•After home renovations or remodeling.
•Prior to occupancy of a new home.
What is the normal price range for the air duct cleaning service?
The Environmental Protection Agency says that “duct cleaning services typically – but not always – range in cost from $450 to $1000 per heating and cooling system, depending on the services offered, the size of the system to be cleaned, system accessibility, climactic region, and level of contamination” and type of duct material.
City apartments and flats are normally less - as much as half the above. However beware super low ball prices since these are frequently bait and switch deals.
